FORGET THE GYM! TRY A LASER TAG WORKOUT

August 23, 2019

Trying to hit the gym and failing miserably? We know the pain. We’ve got the perfect thing for you to switch out the gym for… laser tag! It’s way more fun than the gym and doesn’t feel like work!

  • It gives your the opportunity to work your leg and arm muscles, as well as it being good for cardio.

  • It’s also fun with strangers or friends, so there’s not that awkward phase where you’re trying to learn the gear in front of people that know how to… you all get briefed together and just get on with it.

Here’s our 5 top tips on ways to enjoy exercise more with laser tag:

1. High Intensity Cardio

Our sessions run from 20 mins - 1 hour and if you’re feeling like pushing yourself you can do more. Research says that it’s important to do 30 minutes of exercise per day. Channel your desire to exercise into a fun session of laser tag instead!

You are constantly on the move and avoiding shots from others. The more you sweat, the more you’ll feel you’re burning off calories, getting that heart rate up. You won’t leave the arena feel fresh, but we know you’ll leave feeling energised and that you’ve built up a sweat.

2. It's Great Motivation!

If you’re having a down day or just feeling a bit low on energy or sluggish, exercise is a good way to get you out of that head space. Also being sociable works too, so combining both can make your day go from ‘bleak’ to ‘sweet’ in one session. When you’re immersing yourself in such an activity, you tend to push yourself without even realising!

3. Save Time

We know it’s hard to spend an hour in the gym every day, and we’re not expecting you to do a full hour of laser tag either. Even 20 minutes a day is enough! In fact, you won’t even realise 20 minutes has gone by until the game has finished. You’re likely to want to stay for another session from all the adrenaline you’ll have rushing through your body.

4. Get Social

It will always be important to socialise and work with others. Whether you play laser tag with strangers or with friends, you’ll have a great time and possibly make new friends or meet new connections.

5. No Fee Commitment!

Unlike the gym, you can come and go whenever you please. We’re all trying to save money wherever we can, so not having to worry about a gym membership and whether it’s going to break the bank, you can spend your money on discounted days at our venues and we also have student discount prices. So bring along friends to do it with you and meet new people while you’re there.

Whichever part of London you’re in, we’ve got different styles of laser tag for you to try out at two different venues! It’s such an incredibly fun way to exercise and socialise… Or if you feel like upping your game then we have airsoft and paintball if you’re feeling extreme...

With so many positives, we wish more of you would take it up. Must admit that it does become slightly addictive, but that works in your health’s favour!
